General Medicine
Our doctors see a multitude of medical cases on a daily basis, including dermatology cases (ear infections, skin diseases such as allergies, skin tumors, and more), ophthalmology cases (corneal ulcers, dry eye or KCS, entropion, 3rd eyelid prolapse, proptosed eye, and more), musculoskeletal disease (chronic osteoarthritis, lameness, etc.), cardiology cases (heart disease with referral to our local cardiologist if required), and many more. Our in-house radiology unit and ultrasound unit enable us to perform recommended diagnostics, with referral of radiographs to a board-certified radiologist if a second opinion is required. Our in-house laboratory allows us to do heartworm and tick-borne disease (adult Dirofilaria immitis antigen, Borrelia burgdorferi antibody, Ehrlichia canis/chaffeensis/ewingii antibody and Anaplasma phagocytophilum/platys antibody), feline leukemia virus and FIV status, fecal parvovirus antigen, canine pancreatitis testing (cPL), fecal flotation and smear for acute diarrhea cases, complete blood counts, chemistry profiles, cytology (ear swabs, fine needle aspirates), and a complete urinalysis. Our external reference laboratories allow more comprehensive laboratory testing, with most results available within 24 hours.
